The Cale Guest House provided an excellent experience during my recent business trip. The staff went above and beyond in their assistance, promptly providing additional bathroom supplies when needed. The room was comfortable for resting after long working hours. Breakfast offered a wide selection, featuring freshly squeezed orange juice, which enhanced the overall enjoyment of my stay. Its central location made it easy to access key business areas and local attractions.

The room featured substantial natural light and comfortable wooden shutters, creating a pleasant ambiance. Breakfast included fresh juices, enhancing the overall experience.

There are no elevators, which means you’ll be hauling your luggage up steep, wooden staircases. In some rooms, the noise from the main street is noticeable, and the decor feels a bit stark and run-down, particularly in higher floors that lack charm.

Can just recommend for a momentary visit

Charming staff, convenient location, the staff offered us helpful directions to local attractions and provided excellent service for our needs with a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel at home, while the guesthouse is just a short distance from the airport, making our travel easy.

The spacious room had a lovely courtyard view, and tea and sweets were always available. I enjoyed a complimentary glass of Porto upon arrival.

Fantastic location right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly, providing snacks and beverages throughout the day. However, be prepared for the lack of a lift, as climbing four flights of stairs can be taxing after a long day. The room, while spacious, had a slightly smaller bathroom which might not suit everyone.

The Cale Guest House features incredibly attentive staff who genuinely care about your experience. It has a great location, with easy access to the city, and the breakfasts are fantastic. The only downside was the compact size of the basic room, which lacked some amenities.
